I was at Public Bar, my bus was late, and I arrived mid set to a talented musician. Upon looking at a picture of the artist I had come to see, Baby Zioniv, I found the artist playing looked nothing alike.
That’s how I discovered Créme Jéan, a Kiwi artist with some guts. The lush electronic backdrop was well produced, but the vocalist, presumably Mr Jean himself, stole the show.
Rocking a guitar and a MIDI pad, the duo provided lush instrumentals and a stellar vocal performance. I was not disappointed about arriving early and hope to see more of this artist.
Baby Zioniv, though, what a poser. The moment he started lip syncing an unplugged synthesizer I finished my Bhuja mix and left the club immediately.
