I went to see Nadia Reid at this legendary venue, and I am glad I did.
I mainly listen to electronic mind benders, so it was refreshing to see classic singer-songwriter Nadia Reid in top form.
Her lush, heartfelt music was interspersed with stories and jokes where she relayed information about her life and the origin of her songs.
The performance was technically wonderful, volume levels perfect, and band on-point with the small ensemble of drummer, keyboardist and guitarist playing well together. A double bass was also employed.
The crowd was around Nadia’s age, although I was too engaged by the music to interact with them. I danced a lot and when the set finished I felt joyful and young.
