I admit the production is very clean but not much more can be said. Unless you’re a part of this musical culture that relishes in this particular sound, you will probably end up zoning out a few songs in.
There is skill in the performance of these songs, but apart from skill they haven’t tried for the slightest innovation from many decades since passed. This is nostalgic music for the old – happy to know that there are still musicians producing this same sound that they remember their parents listening to.
