What an album to really wake up 2026.

The first album by the artist in a hot minute: it contains equal measure synthesiser “godliness” (to paraphrase the weird vocoder number-station-esque samples) and paint pail drumming, which I’m sure is in fact a very expensive drum machine.

The Scottish duo have put together an album to top the likes of Geogaddi and Campfire Headphase – a truly extraordinary work that sounds as good in cheap earbuds as in a high-end hifi system.

Standout tracks are Prophecy at 1420MHz and Age of Capricorn: the first contains the sonic fidelity that make the entire album pop (not literally) and the second contain the immortalisation of the album into BoC’s repertoire of music.

You really ought to give this album around 10 listens before letting it grow on you: it is a truly organic masterpiece; a fusion of man and machine.
