This album came at me through an absolute surprise from a friend in the industry. It’s scheduled for release in 2023, and I have to say, Bonobo never disappoints. I sincerely hope that he continues to publish music. This is his seventh studio album, and the work ethic and stylistic integrity has not morphed one bit. I couldn’t get an interview with Bonobo in time for this post, but I encourage his management to reach out to me. I would love to hear if his voice can talk the talk, after his record has walked the walk. Classic poppy drums, heavy synthesizer usage, a four-to-the-floor feel with a 7-8 time signature that doesn’t fail to blow me away. I’ll post a more detailed review once I have the album in hand – for now, back to the listening party.
